Plugin Pro plugs are moulded entirely from cocopeat, giving cuttings, seeds and tissue culture starts a clean, fibrous medium that holds moisture without waterlogging. Each cell is pre-buffered to a stable pH of 5.8 (±0.2) and an EC of 1.0 (±0.2) straight out of the tray, so young roots aren't hit with a nutrient or pH shock in the first critical days.
The cocopeat itself carries naturally occurring coconut trichodermas, beneficial fungi that colonise the root zone early and help outcompete pathogenic organisms before they can establish. This gives propagators a head start on disease resistance at the most vulnerable stage of a plant's life, without needing a separate inoculant.
Because the plugs are fully organic and biodegradable, they can go straight into the next growing medium at transplant with no disturbance to the developing root ball, cutting down on transplant shock and speeding up the move from propagation to vegetative growth.
