The PowerPlant 1000W Metal Halide Retro Fit Lamp is a single-ended MH grow lamp for the vegetative stage. Its 4000K, blue-weighted spectrum keeps plants compact and bushy with short internodes, and PowerPlant's arc tube dosing technology is designed to deliver more usable light energy without giving up intensity or lamp life. Stretchy, Leggy Plants in Veg?
Plants kept under light that is too weak or too red during vegetative growth reach for it: long gaps between nodes, thin stems and excessive stretch that carries on into flowering and leaves a canopy that is hard to manage. A strong, blue-rich metal halide in veg keeps growth tight and sturdy so plants go into flower with a strong framework.
How to Use
- Switch off and let the old lamp cool fully before changing it.
- Handle the glass with clean gloves or a cloth - skin oils create hot spots on the envelope.
- Screw the lamp firmly into an E40 lampholder in a reflector powered by a 1000W ballast.
- Start high above the canopy and lower gradually, watching the tops of the plants for heat or bleaching.
- Run it through the vegetative stage; swap to an HPS or full-spectrum lamp for flowering if your setup uses one.
