Description
Bulk CO2 for Sealed Grow Rooms, Straight from a Propane Bottle
The Pro-Leaf LPG CO2 Generator burns liquid propane through a row of brass burners to enrich a sealed grow room with carbon dioxide, at a far lower running cost than bottled CO2 once a room gets large. Choose the 4 burner or 8 burner model; both come with burner plugs so you can cap burners off and trim the output to your space. The generator is switched by a Pro-Leaf CO2 controller (sold separately), which opens its solenoid valve whenever the room falls below your target.
What's Included
- Pro-Leaf LPG CO2 Generator
- Gas regulator
- 3.66m gas hose
- 24V power adapter
- Hanging hardware
- Floor stand feet
- Burner plugs
Key Benefits
- Electronic ignition - no standing pilot flame burning gas between cycles
- Solenoid gas valve that shuts the supply if the burners fail to light
- Tip-over switch cuts power if the unit is knocked off level
- Adjustable output - plug burners to match a smaller room
- Chrome-lined brass burner tips to keep carbon build-up down
- Hang it or stand it, with a V-shaped body that pushes CO2 out of both sides
Why Do Plants Slow Down in a Sealed Room?
Outdoor air holds roughly 400-450ppm of CO2, and under strong lighting a closed room is drawn below that within hours, capping photosynthesis however well the plants are fed. Most crops can use 1,000-1,200ppm, and raising the room to that level lets them make full use of the light, grow faster and cope better with heat. Burning propane also gives off heat and water vapour, so plan your cooling and humidity control around it.
How to Use
- Connect the gas: fit the regulator and hose to a propane cylinder and check every joint with leak-detection fluid
- Position it: hang it above the canopy (CO2 is heavier than air and falls through the crop) or stand it on its feet, well away from the extraction inlet
- Wire it to a controller: plug it into a CO2 controller with a sensor and set your target, lights-on only
- Circulate: run oscillating fans to spread CO2 evenly and keep extraction off while enriching
- Reduce output by capping the burners furthest from the igniter
- Stay safe: use it only in a room you can ventilate, and fit a carbon monoxide alarm
