The RAM Pro Active Carbon Filter is RAM's professional-range grow room filter, packed with virgin Australian RC412 carbon - widely regarded as one of the best carbons for air filtration. Paired with an inline extractor fan, it strips odours from the air leaving your grow tent or grow room. Choose the 4" (100 x 200mm) for fans up to 170 m³/h or the 5" (125 x 475mm) for fans up to 350 m³/h.

Why do some carbon filters let smell through?

A poorly compacted carbon bed settles and leaves channels, and air always takes the easiest path - straight past the carbon. RAM dries the carbon before filling and fits expansion foam at the neck to keep the bed tight, so air has to pass through the carbon rather than around it. Keep your extractor's airflow at or below the filter's rated maximum so air stays in contact with the carbon long enough.

How to Use

• Pick the size that matches your fan: 4" for up to 170 m³/h, 5" for up to 350 m³/h
• Hang the filter inside the tent, high up where warm air collects
• Connect the filter neck to the fan intake, directly or with ducting, and seal the join with a clamp or duct tape
• Run the fan so that air is pulled through the filter and pushed out of the space
