Rhino 1EC Fan Controller – Thermostatic Single Fan Control

Set a target temperature and let your extraction fan look after itself

The Rhino 1EC Fan Controller is a thermostatic speed controller for a single Rhino Ultra EC extraction fan. Three analogue dials set the target temperature (20–30 °C), the maximum fan speed (50–100%) and the minimum fan speed (off to 100%), and the controller then ramps the fan between those limits as the temperature probe reads the room. It plugs straight into the fan and takes its power from it, so there is no separate power supply to find a socket for.

Heat spikes and humidity when the lights come on

A fan left on one fixed speed is either too slow when the lights are on and heat builds, or too fast in the cool of lights-off, stripping warmth and pulling humidity around. The 1EC answers the actual temperature instead: it lifts extraction as heat climbs and drops back to your chosen idle speed once the room settles, so airflow, temperature and humidity stay steadier through the whole day.

How to Use

• Connect the controller to your Rhino Ultra EC extraction fan using the 0.3 m 3-pin adaptor supplied with Rhino fans
• Position the temperature probe in the tent or room at canopy height, away from the direct flow of the lights
• Set the target temperature on the top dial, then the maximum and minimum fan speeds
