The Root!T Propagator Tray is a large, solid-bottomed seed tray in durable black polypropylene, measuring 57 x 35.5 x 5.5cm. It is the same base tray used in the Root!T Large Value Propagator, and with no drainage holes it holds water and nutrient solution in place rather than letting it run across the bench. It suits propagation rooms, nurseries and growers running several trays of cuttings or seedlings side by side.

Why Use a Solid Propagation Tray?

Young cuttings and seedlings dry out fast, and uneven watering is one of the main causes of slow rooting and weak roots. A tray with no holes lets you water from below, so plugs draw up moisture as they need it and the surface stays drier, which helps keep damping off at bay. It also catches run-off in a grow tent or propagation room, keeping floors and shelves dry.

How to Use

• With inserts: drop in a Root!T 60 Hole or 45 Hole Insert, load with pre-soaked plugs and add a shallow layer of water or diluted feed to the tray.
• As a propagator: fit a Root!T Propagator Lid, set on a heat mat if needed, and open the vents as roots appear.
• As a seed or drip tray: stand pots, cell trays or Jiffy trays directly in it.
• Between batches: wash with warm soapy water or a horticultural sterilant and rinse.
