Weatherproof Outlet for Your Grow Room Extraction
The Screened Wall Vent finishes a 6 inch (150mm) ducting run on the outside of a building. Made entirely from galvanised sheet steel, it has a built-in hood over a wire mesh screen, and an extra-wide collar that passes through the wall into the grow room so your duct or extractor fan connects straight onto it. Stale air leaves, and rain, leaves and debris stay out.

Keeping Extraction Working
An exposed duct end is an open door for pests and a collection point for leaves and grime, and a partly blocked outlet throttles airflow just when the room is hottest. Poor extraction quickly shows up as heat build-up, high humidity and stale air around the canopy. A screened, hooded outlet protects the duct opening so your inline fan keeps moving air at its rated volume.
How to Use
- Cut the opening: core a hole through the wall to suit the 150mm collar.
- Fit from outside: push the collar through with the hood facing down, then fix the flange to the wall and seal around it with exterior sealant.
- Connect inside: slide 150mm ducting over the collar and secure it with a duct clamp or jubilee clip, then tape the joint.
- Check the screen now and then and brush off any build-up.
