Weak roots and stretched, floppy growth in veg?
Slow growth and airy, over-stretched plants in early veg usually trace back to a feed that does not match the water it is mixed with. On a hard-water supply, the wrong formulation stacks more calcium and magnesium on top of what is already there and drives nutrient lockout; on soft or RO water, a hard-water feed leaves plants short of both. Samurai Hydro Grow is made in both versions for exactly that reason. Matching the formulation to your water keeps uptake even, prevents poor nutrient uptake and transplant shock, and produces a compact, strongly rooted plant ready to take a full bloom feed.
How to Use
- Choose your formulation: HW above roughly 200 ppm water hardness, SW for soft, filtered or RO water
- Early veg and rooted cuttings: 1-2 ml/L of Part A and 1-2 ml/L of Part B
- Established veg: 2-4 ml/L of Part A and 2-4 ml/L of Part B, to target EC
- Mixing order: add Part A to fresh water and stir, then Part B and stir again - never combine the concentrates undiluted
- Always equal amounts of A and B, then any additives afterwards
- pH: set to 5.5-6.5, with 5.8 ideal for most hydroponic systems
- Reservoir: replace every 7-14 days and check EC and pH after every top-up
