The arc tube sits in premium quartz glass with UV balancing inside the lamp, and it runs on 230V digital ballasts in DE fixtures.

Why Use a Metal Halide in Veg?

Plants grown under warm, red-heavy light in the vegetative stage tend to stretch, leaving long gaps between nodes and a thin canopy. Excessive stretch costs space in a grow tent and wastes light on bare stem. A 6K metal halide gives the blue-rich light that keeps growth compact, then you can swap to an HPS lamp in the same DE fixture for flowering.

How to Use

• Fit: use only in a 230V double ended fixture with a digital ballast rated for 1000W DE lamps. Not for 400V fixtures or magnetic ballasts.
• Handle: hold the lamp by its ends with clean gloves or a cloth - skin oils on quartz glass shorten lamp life.
• Height: follow your fixture maker's hanging height and raise the light as the canopy grows.
• Cycle: run through the vegetative stage, then change to a flowering lamp if your fixture allows.
