Durations run from 1 second to 99 hours, so one unit handles a light on a 12 hours on, 12 hours off schedule and a water pump running frequent drip feeds. It carries a 13-amp current rating with a 30-amp heavy duty relay, a large LCD with a plant-safe green backlight, and a rechargeable battery that holds settings through a power cut.

When a Basic Timer Cannot Keep Up

Mechanical segment timers work in 15 minute blocks, which is fine for a light and useless for irrigation. Growers overwater because the shortest possible feed is far too long, or run pumps by hand and miss cycles - both lead to waterlogged medium, weak roots and poor nutrient uptake. A 20 second feed every few minutes means the room runs the schedule you designed.

How to Use

• Lights: use Timed mode for photoperiods such as 12 hours on, 12 hours off.
• Pumps: use Repeat mode - 20 seconds on and 40 seconds off runs a device for 20 seconds every minute.
