The TrolMaster WCS-1 Water Content Sensor allows growers to accurately monitor the moisture level within their growing medium, providing real-time data that helps optimise irrigation cycles in hydroponics and indoor growing systems. By measuring the percentage of water content in the root zone, the WCS-1 helps growers maintain consistent moisture levels for healthier plant development and improved nutrient uptake.

When connected to the Aqua-X irrigation control system, the sensor continuously tracks water content and displays readings directly on the sensor module, the Aqua-X controller and the TM+ mobile app. This gives growers clear visibility of moisture levels within soil, coco or other grow media, helping prevent overwatering or excessive dry backs that can slow vegetative growth or reduce plant health.

Up to eight WCS-1 sensors can be connected to a single Aqua-X controller, allowing growers to monitor multiple pots or zones across a grow tent or grow room.

How to Use

1. Insert the WCS-1 sensor probe into the growing medium near the plant’s root zone.

3. Assign the sensor address using the built-in addressing button if multiple sensors are used.

4. Allow the system to begin measuring water content levels in real time.

5. Monitor moisture readings on the sensor display, Aqua-X controller or TM+ mobile app.

6. Adjust irrigation schedules based on the moisture data to maintain optimal root zone conditions.
