The TrolMaster MBS-S8 CO2 Sensor measures carbon dioxide in parts per million (PPM) and plugs straight into the Hydro-X environmental control system. Paired with a DSC-2 CO2 device station, it lets the Hydro-X controller regulate supplemental CO2 automatically, so plants get the concentration they need for efficient photosynthesis and stronger development through veg and flower in hydro, coco or soil.

CO2 Depletion in Sealed Grow Rooms

In sealed rooms and hydroponic systems, plants can consume available CO2 faster than it is replenished, and once levels drop too low, photosynthesis slows, stunting vegetative growth and limiting yield in flower. The MBS-S8 monitors CO2 continuously and feeds data to the Hydro-X controller, which fires CO2 equipment through the DSC-2 whenever levels fall below target. Its built-in photocell ensures dosing only runs during lights-on, so no CO2 is wasted when plants cannot use it.

How to Use

• Mount the sensor at canopy height for accurate readings.
• Connect it to the Hydro-X controller with the supplied 16 ft RJ12 cable.
• Use the RJ12 T-splitter if connecting further modules.
• Set target CO2 levels in the Hydro-X controller.
• Pair the sensor with one or more DSC-2 device stations to control CO2 regulators or generators; the system then maintains levels automatically.
