The TrolMaster MBS-PAR Full Spectrum PPFD Sensor is designed to measure the intensity of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) within indoor growing environments. When connected to the Hydro-X environmental control system, this sensor allows growers to monitor and automatically regulate light levels inside a grow tent or grow room, ensuring plants receive the optimal amount of light throughout the entire grow cycle.

Light intensity plays a crucial role in plant health, vegetative growth and flowering performance. By measuring PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density), the MBS-PAR sensor provides accurate real-time data on the usable light reaching the plant canopy. The Hydro-X controller can then automatically adjust compatible lighting systems to maintain the precise PPFD level set by the grower.

With an improved spectral response designed for modern LED lighting, the sensor accurately measures full-spectrum grow lights, helping growers maintain consistent lighting conditions that support strong growth and maximise yield.

Key Benefits

• Measures full-spectrum PPFD for accurate grow light intensity monitoring
• Compatible with the TrolMaster Hydro-X environmental control system
• Automatically adjusts lighting output to maintain target PPFD levels
• Accurate measurement of LED, HID and other grow light sources
• Improves lighting consistency across grow tents and grow rooms
• Helps optimise vegetative growth, flowering and overall yield
• Plug & play installation for quick setup

How It Solves Grow Problems

Incorrect light intensity is a common issue in indoor growing. Too little light can slow vegetative growth and limit plant development, while excessive light can stress plants and reduce efficiency during the flowering stage.

The MBS-PAR sensor allows growers to measure the exact PPFD reaching the canopy, ensuring plants receive the correct light intensity for each stage of growth. When integrated with the Hydro-X system, the controller can automatically increase or decrease light output to maintain the desired PPFD level.

This ensures plants receive consistent light energy for photosynthesis, improving nutrient uptake, plant health and overall yield across hydroponic systems, coco or soil-based growing setups.
