A Heavy-Duty pH Probe Built to Sit in the Nutrient Line
The TrolMaster PPH-3 is a heavy-duty nutrient pH sensor for the Aqua-X, Tent-X and Green-X control systems. A reduced-diameter protective sleeve and threaded body fit a standard ¾" PVC tee, so it can run inline in a feed line or drop into a reservoir, and an improved sensing element keeps readings stable. It covers pH 0–14 to ±0.2 pH and connects to an AMP-2 or AMP-3 sensor board by its BNC plug on a 3.6 m cable.

Why Monitor pH Continuously?
Nutrient uptake depends on pH: let a feed drift too high or too low and plants struggle to take up iron, calcium and other elements even when the tank is full of them. A probe that reads pH all the time lets your controller record the trend and warn you as soon as the solution moves outside your range, before deficiencies show in the leaves.
How to Use
- Connect to an AMP-2 board (Aqua-X NFS-1) or an AMP-3 board (Aqua-X NFS-2 and NFS-3, Green-X GCS-1, Tent-X TCS-1)
- Inline: thread the probe into a ¾" PVC tee; drop-in: hang it in the reservoir
- Calibrate from the controller with pH buffer solutions, following TrolMaster's calibration guide
- Never let it dry out – store it in its cap with the correct probe storage solution when out of use

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it work on its own?
No. It reads through a TrolMaster controller fitted with an AMP-2 or AMP-3 sensor board.
How should I store it?
Always in its storage cap with the correct pH probe storage solution. TrolMaster will not cover a probe returned dry or without its cap under warranty.
How does it differ from the PPH-1 and PPH-2?
The PPH-1 is the reservoir probe and the PPH-2 the heavy-duty in-tank probe. The PPH-3 is the newer heavy-duty probe with a slimmer, threaded body that fits a ¾" PVC tee for inline use.
