A Leak Alarm and an Irrigation Check in One Detector
The TrolMaster WD-1 Water Detector works with TrolMaster's Aqua-X and Hydro-X controllers in two ways. As a leak detector, its Touch Spot sits on the floor or near a reservoir, pump or pipe joint and the controller alerts you the moment water reaches it. As a water-verification monitor, it sits where run-off collects or where water enters the growing medium and is assigned to a pump or solenoid on the Aqua-X: every time that output runs, the WD-1 must see water within an adjustable delay, or the controller sends an irrigation failure alert. Up to 25 WD-1 detectors can run on one Aqua-X (NFS-1), and two of them, at the top and bottom of a tank, drive the Auto-Fill function on the Aqua-X Pro.

How to Use
- Connect the detector into the controller's RJ12 chain with the 16ft cable and T-splitter
- Address it with the button so the controller can tell each detector apart
- Leak duty: lay the Touch Spot on the floor where a leak would first collect
- Verification duty: place it in a run-off tray or where the dripper wets the medium, then assign it to the pump or solenoid and set the delay on the Aqua-X

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it detect a reverse osmosis water leak?
Possibly not. RO water can contain so few dissolved solids that the detector cannot sense it; it detects mains, well and nutrient-dosed water.
How is it different from the WD-2?
The WD-2 we also sell is a leak-only detector for Hydro-X. The WD-1 adds water-verification of each irrigation event on the Aqua-X, and works for leak detection on Hydro-X and Aqua-X systems.
How many can I connect?
Up to 25 on one Aqua-X (NFS-1) and up to 20 on an Aqua-X Plus (NFS-3).
