VitaLink Hydro MAX Grow SW A&B – Soft Water Nutrients

A two-part hydro base for the vegetative weeks, balanced for soft water

VitaLink Hydro MAX Grow Soft Water is the vegetative half of VitaLink's two-part hydroponic base nutrient, made for growers whose tap water is soft, or who run reverse osmosis water. Soft water carries little calcium or magnesium, so this version supplies more of both alongside the full macro and micronutrient balance, with fulvic acid and chelated micronutrients - iron chelated with EDDHA so it stays available across the pH range. It is stable in recirculating and run-to-waste systems and will not taint the flavour of herbs, salad, fruit or vegetables. Move on to Hydro MAX Bloom when flowers first show.

Pale growth and calcium shortfalls on soft water

A hard-water nutrient assumes the tap is already supplying calcium and magnesium. On soft or RO water that assumption leaves plants short, and the result is pale, weak vegetative growth, interveinal yellowing and soft stems. The Soft Water Grow carries the extra calcium and magnesium itself, so the solution is complete from the first dose.

How to Use

• Check your water first: below EC 0.4 use this Soft Water version; at 0.4-0.5 either version works; at 0.6-0.8 use Hard Water.
• Shake both bottles, fill the reservoir, add Part A and mix, then Part B and mix. Never combine A and B undiluted; always use equal amounts.
• Dose 1-4 ml/L of each part, rising from transplant to the end of veg, following the VitaLink feed chart for your stage.
• pH 5.8-6.5 throughout; switch to Hydro MAX Bloom at flower initiation.
