Description
A Solid Flange for a Secure Duct Connection
The Vortex Ducting Ring is a metal flanged spigot that gives a fan, filter or vent a proper connection point for flexible ducting, rather than relying on the thin sheet-metal outlet alone. It slips over the existing outlet and gives a duct clip or fast clamp something solid to grip.
Key Benefits
- Solid metal construction: gives a secure fixing point for ducting clamps and clips
- Flanged profile: stops flexible ducting slipping back off the connection
- Reduces air leaks: a tighter, more even seal than clamping straight onto a thin outlet
- Simple retrofit: fits directly over an existing fan, filter or vent spigot
Clamping ducting straight onto a fan or filter's own outlet can leave a poor seal, and thin sheet-metal edges give a clip very little to bite into. A ducting ring adds a proper flanged connection point so the clamp seats evenly, cutting down on the air leaks that let smells and warm air escape before extraction has done its job.
How to Use
Fit the ring over the fan, filter or vent's outlet spigot, slide the ducting fully over the flange, and secure with a duct clip or fast clamp for an airtight seal.
