The Vortex Twin Speed Thermostatic Fan Speed Controller manages both intake and extraction fans from one unit and adjusts them according to grow room temperature. You set a target temperature on the thermostat dial and a minimum fan speed on the second dial, and the controller takes it from there: as the room heats up it increases airflow to pull the excess heat out, then drops back once conditions settle. Why Do Temperatures Swing When Fans Run Flat Out?

A fan wired straight to the mains only knows one speed. Run it flat out and you strip heat and humidity even when the room is already cool, and live with the noise; wind it down manually and the room overheats the moment lights and outside temperatures climb. Either way plants sit through swings that slow growth. A thermostat keeps a floor of constant airflow through the canopy and adds extraction only when heat needs removing.

How to Use

Plug your intake and extraction fans into the controller, then set the temperature threshold and minimum fan speed on the dials. Position the sensor at canopy height, away from the lamp and out of the intake stream, so it reads what the plants experience. Set the minimum speed just high enough to keep air constantly moving; the controller ramps up only when extra cooling is needed.
