One extractor, two growing areas
The Y-Piece is a rigid, galvanised steel fitting that splits a single duct run into two, or joins two runs into one, depending on which way the air needs to move. It's the standard solution when a single extraction fan needs to service two separate grow areas or tent sections, rather than running two fans where one would do.
Because airflow naturally follows the path of least resistance, a Y-piece on its own tends to pull unevenly between the two branches — most growers pair it with a damper on one or both outlets to balance the split properly. It fits standard rigid or flexible ducting and connects with standard duct clips at each of its three openings.
