Description

Set your pH and EC once and let the controller hold them there

The Aqua Master Tools C800 Pro is an automatic pH and EC dosing controller for hydroponic reservoirs and feed tanks. Its electrodes stay in the solution full time, reading pH, EC, PPM/TDS and temperature, and when a value drifts away from its set point the controller runs its dosing pumps in short, timed pulses until the tank is back on target. A touchscreen shows live readings and alarms at the unit, and the Aqua Master Tools app lets you change set points, store feeding schedules, receive alarm notifications and look back over up to 12 months of logged data from your phone.

The system is modular. The left output is dedicated to one pH pump, set in the menu to dose either pH down or pH up; the right output runs up to five nutrient pumps through Aqua Master's C10, C20 and C30 peristaltic pump units, which are sold separately. Run it for pH only, nutrients only or both, and add pumps as your feed programme grows.

Key Benefits

  • Continuous monitoring of pH, EC, PPM/TDS and temperature, with automatic temperature compensation from 0 to 50°C
  • Automatic dosing – one pH channel plus up to 5 nutrient pumps on a single controller
  • Pulse dosing you can tune – pump on-time from 1 to 900 seconds and a pause of 0 to 60 minutes between doses
  • Alarms that protect the crop – high and low pH, EC and temperature alarms, with dosing stopped while an alarm is active
  • App control and history – remote set points, schedules and alerts, with up to a year of readings stored
  • Accurate readings – pH ±0.1, EC ±2% of full scale, at 0.01 resolution

pH Drift and Changing EC Between Checks

A reservoir does not stay where you mixed it. As plants drink, the pH creeps up or down and the EC rises or falls depending on whether they take up more water or more nutrients, and a once-a-day check with a pen can miss hours outside the safe range. That drift is a common cause of nutrient lockout, deficiency symptoms and poor nutrient uptake, and it is worst in warm rooms where uptake is fastest. A controller corrects small changes as they happen, keeping the root zone stable without constant manual adjustment.

How to Use

  • Calibrate first: run a 1-, 2- or 3-point pH calibration (pH 4.0, 7.0 and 10.0) and a 1-point EC calibration at 1.4, 3.0 or 12.88 before the electrodes go in the tank.
  • Connect the pumps: a C10 pump on the left UTP port handles pH; a C10, C20 or C30 unit on the right port handles nutrients, and a second unit connects as an extension for four or five nutrient lines.
  • Set targets: enter your pH and EC set points, choose pH up or pH down for the pH channel, then set the dose time and the pause between doses so the tank mixes before the next reading.
  • Keep it accurate: the electrodes live in the solution, so clean them and recalibrate more often than a hand-held meter, and watch for algae on the probes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the C800 Pro include dosing pumps?

No. This is the controller with its pH and EC/temperature electrodes. Dosing is done by Aqua Master Tools C10 (one pump), C20 (two pumps) or C30 (three pumps) units, which plug into the controller by UTP cable; one controller runs up to five nutrient pumps plus one pH pump.

Can it raise and lower pH?

The pH channel doses one direction at a time: in the menu you choose whether its pump adds pH down or pH up. Most hydro reservoirs drift upwards, so it is usually set to pH down.

Can I use it for pH control only?

Yes. Aqua Master Tools designed it to run pH only, nutrients only, or both, so you can start with a single pH pump and add nutrient pumps later.

How often does it need calibrating?

Because the electrodes sit in the reservoir permanently they drift faster than a pen that is used for spot checks. Clean the probes and recalibrate pH (4.0, 7.0, 10.0) and EC (1.4, 3.0 or 12.88) regularly, and whenever readings stop matching a hand-held meter.
