Turn a Large Duct Run Through 45° Without Choking the Airflow
The Blauberg 45 Degree Segmented Duct Bend is a rigid galvanised steel elbow for 250mm (10") and 315mm (12") extraction and intake runs. At these diameters a bend is built from short jointed segments rather than pressed from one piece, giving a gradual radius instead of a sharp fold, and the rolled edges add strength and help the fitting hold its round shape. Flexible ducting folded round a corner kinks and narrows, and a large inline fan pulling against that pinch loses airflow and runs louder; a rigid bend keeps the full bore open through the turn, so more of the fan's rated extraction reaches the carbon filter and the grow room stays on top of heat and humidity.

How to Use
- Push the ducting onto each end of the bend and secure it with a clamp of the same diameter or jubilee clip.
- Seal each join with aluminium duct tape to stop air leaks and whistling.
- Support the bend with a hanger or bracket so its weight is not carried by the fan or by flexible ducting.
- For an offset, fit two bends with a short straight length between them.
