Description
A 1.5m Square Grow Room for Attics and Sloping Ceilings
The BudBox Pro XL Plus-R Tent (150cm x 150cm x 180cm) takes BudBox's 1.5m XL plus footprint and gives it a pitched roof, so a 2.25m² grow room fits into an attic or loft where a flat-topped 200cm tent will not stand. The walls are 140cm high and the roof slopes in at 45 degrees to a wide, flat 70cm ridge at 180cm, leaving a generous band of full height down the middle of the tent for the light. Heat and humidity build up quickly under a roof, so the tent has room for a proper extraction and intake set-up — two 275mm and two 225mm double-cuffed ports, oversized to take insulated ducting — plus two screened passive vents for fresh air low down. It is built on BudBox's 25mm, 1mm-wall tempered steel frame with all-metal push/click corners and no cross poles on the floor, and comes with a silver Mylar or BudBox PRO White lining.
Key Benefits
- Pitched roof with a 70cm flat ridge — 140cm walls rising to 180cm — so the light gets full height down the centre
- 2.25m² clear floor with no cross poles to work around, 56% more growing area than the 120cm XL-R
- 25mm black powder-coated steel frame with all-metal push/click corners holds lights, fans and filters without flexing
- 2 x 275mm and 2 x 225mm ducting ports, double-cuffed and 20% oversized, plus 3 x 100mm cable ports
- 4 doors: 2 front main doors and 2 side access doors
- Uplift irrigation bar and 2 irrigation ports so the reservoir can stand outside the tent
- Silver Mylar or PRO White lining, with a drip tray in the matching colour
How to Use
- Check the space: the tent needs a 150cm x 150cm floor, 140cm of height at the side walls and 180cm under the 70cm-wide ridge.
- Build the frame in place — the poles push and click into the metal corners without tools — then fit the canvas and the drip tray.
- Hang the light centrally from the roof bars on rope ratchets so it sits under the flat ridge, where the full 180cm is available.
- Extract through a 275mm port and bring fresh air in low through the passive vents or a 225mm port; draw both cuffs tight around the ducting.
- Feed irrigation lines in under the uplift bar and keep power and sensor cables in the 100mm ports.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much headroom does the pitched roof leave?
The side walls are 140cm high and the roof rises at 45 degrees to a flat ridge 70cm wide at 180cm, so the middle of the tent has the full 180cm. Check your rafters clear the 140cm walls before you buy.
What light suits a 150 x 150cm attic tent?
The 2.25m² floor suits one 600W to 1000W-class light, or an LED of similar output, hung under the centre of the ridge. Slim LED bars make the most of the height.
What size extraction fan does it need?
The tent holds about 3.8m³ of air. One air change a minute is roughly 230m³/h before you allow for a carbon filter, ducting and a warm roof space, so a 150mm (6in) fan and filter is the usual minimum and a 200mm (8in) gives headroom in a hot attic.
Silver Mylar or PRO White — which lining should I choose?
BudBox say their flat PRO White lining reflects more PAR light than Mylar and avoids hot spots, while Mylar reflects more heat and runs around 6-8°C warmer. In a roof space that heats up in summer, White is the cooler option; Silver costs less.
