Add UV-A and Far-Red to Your Xplore LED Without Changing Fixture
The Dimlux Xplore Series Add-On Bars are supplemental LED bars made to hang from the frame of a Dimlux Xplore 730W or 800W grow light and widen its spectrum. Each add-on is two 25W bars (50W in total), made in three versions: UV-A, NIR (far-red) or a combined UV-A + NIR. They run from their own mains supply rather than the fixture's driver, so UV-A and far-red can be switched on their own schedule, and different versions can work together in one grow room.

Spectrum Gaps That Hold Back Colour, Aroma and Flowering
White full-spectrum LEDs drive photosynthesis well but carry little of the UV-A and far-red at either end of the spectrum. Dimlux add UV-A to bring out colour, flavour and aroma, to make plants less appealing to some insects and to help limit the spread of fungal spores, all of which supports plant health. Far-red works alongside red light as a photosynthesis booster, helps plants set flowers sooner and gives you a lever on height: with far-red on, plants grow taller in veg and early flowering; with it off, they stay compact.
How to Use
- Hang the bars from the frame of your Xplore or other multi-bar LED, 50–75 cm above the canopy
- Space bars 50–75 cm apart when running separate UV-A and NIR sets together
- Give each version its own timer so UV-A and far-red run independently of the main light
- Far-red after lights-off: Dimlux note that far-red run after the main light switches off speeds up night-time metabolism
- Link bars together – up to 40 can run from one 13A outlet or Dimlux Aux Box

Frequently Asked Questions
Do the bars run through my Xplore's driver or dimmer?
No. The add-ons have their own mains supply, so they switch independently of the main fixture – run them from a plug-in timer, or from a Dimlux Aux Box if you have one. Up to 40 bars can share one 13A outlet.
Which version should I choose?
UV-A for colour, flavour and aroma, extra resistance to pests and help against fungal spores. NIR for a photosynthesis boost, earlier flower setting and control over plant height. UV-A + NIR puts both in one bar when you would rather manage a single timer.
Will they fit a light other than the Xplore?
Dimlux made them for the Xplore 730W and 800W, but the bars hang from the frame of any multi-bar LED fixture.
Can I run UV-A and NIR sets together?
Yes. Dimlux designed the three versions to be used in one set-up, with UV-A and NIR on separate timers for the most control. Hang them 50–75 cm apart.
