The DLI Wide DE Reflector is the genuine wide-angle replacement reflector for Dutch Lighting Innovations double-ended HPS fixtures, compatible with the DLI 6/750W and 1000W HPS fixtures. It is made from 99.99% pure aluminium, electrochemically brightened and finished with vacuum-applied reflection layers under a dual-layer oxide coat, giving an integrated hemispherical reflectance above 95% with high total reflectance across 400–700 nm – the whole PAR range. Every ray from the lamp either reaches the plants directly or meets the reflector only once on its way down, so less light is lost and the canopy is lit more evenly.

Hotspots and Uneven Growth Under a Worn Reflector
A reflector shapes the light at canopy level as much as the lamp does. Once its surface is scratched, dulled or dirty, reflectance drops, more light is turned into heat inside the fixture and the footprint narrows into a bright centre with dim edges – the familiar pattern of uneven growth, with plants at the margins stretching towards the light. DLI designed this reflector for efficiency and uniformity, and fitting a fresh one restores the wide, even spread – with fewer hotspots and more even plant growth across the whole light footprint.
How to Use
- Isolate and cool: switch the fixture off at the mains and let it cool completely
- Swap the reflector: remove the lamp first, then take out the old reflector and fit the Wide DE Reflector in its place, secured the same way
- Handle by the edges with clean gloves – fingerprints and grease lower reflectance
- Keep it clean: dust gently with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth; never use abrasives on the reflective surface
