Description
Hands-off watering for big 25 litre pots
The GoGro 25L Pot System brings HydroGarden's PLANT!T GoGro self-watering valve to larger containers. Each 25 litre round pot stands in a tray whose patented GoGro valve meters feed in from a raised reservoir, and capillary action draws it up through the medium. With no pump and no mains power, it sets up anywhere a tank can sit above the pots – greenhouse, polytunnel, patio or grow tent. Pick a system of 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24 or 48 pots, fed from a rigid reservoir (45L round with lid, 100L or 250L) or a flexible tank (60L, 100L, 250L or 500L) sized to the number of pots.
What's Included
- GoGro 25L modules – round pot, PLANT!T valve tray with GoGro valve and copper root control disc per pot
- Reservoir – 45L round reservoir with lid or 60L flexible tank (1–4 pots), 100L reservoir or flexible tank (6–8 pots), 250L reservoir or flexible tank (12 pots), 250L reservoir or 500L flexible tank (24–48 pots), as chosen
- Supply line and connection fittings
Key Benefits
- Room for bigger plants – 25L of root space for vigorous, long-season crops.
- Power-free and silent – nothing to plug in or programme.
- Weeks between top-ups – the valve feeds for as long as the reservoir lasts.
- Steady moisture – the tray floods to about 3cm and drains to about 1cm.
- Made in Britain – ABS valve, polypropylene tray.
How Do You Stop Big Pots Drying Out?
Large container plants can drink several litres on a hot day; a missed watering shows as wilting and stalled growth, while drenching to be safe leaves roots short of oxygen. GoGro replaces that with small, frequent top-ups, keeping roots moist but airy and nutrient uptake even from vegetative growth to fruiting.
How to Use
- Raise the reservoir above the supply line.
- Place the root control disc under 1.5–2L of clay pebbles per module, then fill with soil, coco or pebbles.
- Move established plants in – do not sow seed into the system.
- Size the reservoir at 5–10L per module; expect 1.5–2L a day per medium plant indoors.
- Turn each pot a quarter turn every fortnight.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which size of system do I need?
Choose the number of pots first, then the tank. HydroGarden recommend 5–10L of reservoir per module and expect a medium plant to drink 1.5–2L a day indoors – thirsty crops in 25L pots on a hot day can take more. On those figures the 6-pot system on 100L runs about 8–11 days between fills, the 12-pot on 250L about 10–14 days, the 24-pot on 500L about 10–14 days and the 48-pot on 250L about 2.5–3.5 days.
Rigid reservoir or flexible tank?
Both feed the trays the same way. The flexible tank folds away between seasons, while the rigid reservoir is a solid tank. On the 24- and 48-pot systems the flexible tank holds 500L against the reservoir's 250L, which halves how often you refill.
Does the tank need to be raised?
Yes. GoGro is gravity fed, so the tank must stand above the supply line for feed to reach the trays – HydroGarden advise at least 50cm above the level of the pots. No pump, timer or power supply is needed.
Can I use it outdoors or in soil?
Yes. GoGro is designed for greenhouses, polytunnels and gardens as well as indoor rooms, and works with soil, coco or clay pebbles in the pot.
