The Gorilla Propagator with LED Strips puts a 56 x 36 x 22cm flexible propagator together with two 12W, 60cm Gorilla Propagation LEDs and a 1m power lead with UK plug – everything you need to raise seedlings and root cuttings on a shelf, bench or in a propagation tent. The clear, vented lid holds the high humidity young plants need, while the two strips sit across the top and light the whole tray with a blue-weighted spectrum for compact, sturdy growth and strong root development.

Seedlings Stretching and Cuttings Wilting?
On a windowsill, seedlings lean and stretch towards weak, one-sided light, and cuttings lose water through their leaves faster than they can replace it before they have roots. The result is leggy, floppy seedlings and cuttings that wilt and fail to strike. This kit tackles both: even overhead light from two strips keeps growth compact, and the closed dome holds humidity high so cuttings stay turgid while new roots form.
How to Use
- Stand the tray on a level surface and fill it with plugs, cubes or seed compost (not included), then water and fit the lid.
- Lay the two strips across the lid, plug the 1m power lead into the first strip and link the second strip to it.
- Run the lights 18–24 hours a day for cuttings, or a long day for seedlings; a plug-in timer makes this automatic.
- Keep the vents closed while cuttings root, then open them gradually to harden plants off.
- Move plants on to a stronger grow light once they are rooted and growing away.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the propagator heated?
No – this is the unheated kit. For faster rooting in a cold room, stand the tray on a propagation heat mat to warm the root zone.
Can I add more lights?
Yes. The Gorilla strips daisy-chain, so further 60cm strips can be linked to the same power lead – up to 16 on one chain.
Do I need anything else to get started?
Just your growing medium – plugs, rooting cubes or seed compost – and seeds or cuttings. A rooting gel helps cuttings strike, and a timer saves switching the lights by hand.
Will the lights scorch young plants?
The strips run at 12W each and stay cool, so they can sit right on the lid above seedlings and cuttings without the heat risk of a full-size grow light.
