Growth Technology pH Up is a concentrated potassium hydroxide solution for raising the pH of nutrient solution or feed water. Even a well-mixed feed drifts more acidic as plants draw on it, and once pH slips below the usable band, nutrients still sitting in the reservoir simply stop being absorbed - so you see deficiency symptoms despite feeding correctly. Because it is concentrated, only small doses are needed, which makes it easy to fine-tune pH rather than overshoot.

Is low pH locking out your feed?

When pH drops outside the 5.5 to 6.2 band used in most hydro systems, key nutrients become chemically locked out even though they are still dissolved in the tank, showing as slow growth, pale leaves and stalled uptake that no extra feed will fix. Nudging pH back into range restores the plant's ability to take up what is already there.

How to Use

• All systems: Mix in your nutrients first, since the feed itself shifts pH, then adjust.
• Dosing: Add around 0.25-0.5ml per 10 litres, stir thoroughly, then re-test with a pH meter before adding more.
• Target: Repeat in small increments to reach roughly 5.5-6.2 for hydroponics (a touch higher for soil).
• Always re-test after each addition - the solution is highly concentrated and easy to overshoot.
