Every figure is millilitres per litre of water, except the cells written 5ml/10L. Those are per ten litres — 5ml in a ten-litre tank, which is half a millilitre in a single litre.
Getting it right
- Growth Technology publish this by stage, not by week. Their leaflet has three columns — Propagation, Grow and Bloom. The grid above sets those stages out across the weeks they cover, over a cutting week, four Grow weeks and eight Flower weeks, with Growth Technology's own dose repeated in each week of a stage. If your plants sit in Grow for six weeks rather than four, carry the Grow figures on — the dose does not change, only the number of columns.
- Liquid Oxygen and Liquid Silicon are per ten litres. Their cells read 5ml/10L. A 50-litre reservoir takes 25ml of each, not 250ml. Dosing Silicon at 5ml per litre puts ten times the published amount into the tank.
- Mix into a running tank, one bottle at a time. Silicon goes in first while the pump circulates, then the base feed, then everything else. Never pour two concentrates together — undiluted they react and drop out as solids.
- A reservoir mistake reaches every plant at once. There is no medium to buffer it, which is the trade you make for the speed. Mix in a measuring jug, not by eye, and check the numbers before the solution goes anywhere near the roots.
- Set pH last, and lower than you would in soil. The window here is 5.5 to 6.2. Adding anything to the tank moves it, so pH is always the final step, and it is worth reading again a few hours later.
- EC climbs as the plants drink. They take water faster than salt, so a tank left alone gets stronger, not weaker. Top up with plain water to hold the level, read the EC daily against the 1.8 to 2.2 window, and change the reservoir out rather than endlessly correcting it.
- Liquid Oxygen is on the chart for a reason. Roots sitting in water need dissolved oxygen, and warm water holds less of it. Keep the reservoir cool and the air pump running as well as dosing the row.
- Formulex is the propagation feed. Cuttings and seedlings get 5ml per litre until they have roots working — that is the Cutting 1 column. Ionic Grow does not start before Grow 1.
- Keep Ionic Grow running through Flower 1. Growth Technology carry the Grow feed one week past the switch to twelve hours, so it holds its 7ml at Flower 1. It then stops, and Ionic Bloom runs on its own from Flower 2 to Flower 8.
- The Boost row covers Flower 4 to Flower 8, the last five weeks of flowering. The chart's Ionic Boost is a flowering PK. The bottle we stock now is Ionic PK 14/15 Boost, a stronger concentration added once a week rather than at every feed — dose that one to its own label, not to the 1ml printed here.
- Nitrozyme here is a foliar mist, not a tank additive. On the hydroponics schedule it is 5ml per litre sprayed onto young plants at Cutting 1 only.
- The last rows are optional. Superdrive is a vitamin and hormone tonic at 1ml per litre throughout. GreenFuse Root, Grow and Bloom are stage-matched plant extracts at 1ml per litre — Root at Cutting 1, Grow across Grow 1 to Grow 4, Bloom from Flower 1 to Flower 8.

Growth Technology publish by stage — where do the week numbers come from?
Their leaflet has three columns, Propagation, Grow and Bloom, and no weeks at all. The grid above lays those stages out across the weeks they cover, over a cutting week, four Grow weeks and eight Flower weeks, with Growth Technology's own dose repeated in each week of a stage. No figure has been invented, and if your run is longer or shorter you feed to the stage the plants are actually in.
What does 5ml/10L mean?
Five millilitres in ten litres of water. Most of this chart is per single litre, but Liquid Oxygen and Liquid Silicon are printed per ten litres. A 40-litre reservoir takes 20ml of each in total.
How often should I change the reservoir?
Top up between times with plain water to hold the level, and replace the whole solution rather than letting it drift a long way from the 1.8 to 2.2 EC window. Read pH and EC daily — both move on their own as the plants feed.
Do Ionic Grow and Ionic Bloom overlap?
Only for a week. Ionic Grow holds its dose through Flower 1, the first week after the lights go to twelve hours. It then stops, and Ionic Bloom runs alone from Flower 2 to Flower 8.
