Every figure is millilitres per 10 litres of water. Remo publish their doses in millilitres per US gallon, and these are converted, because a watering can in this country is marked in litres. Their 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10 ml per US gallon are the 13.2, 15.9, 18.5, 21.1 and 26.4 ml per 10 litres shown here. Divide by ten for a one-litre jug.

Getting it right

  • The doses are in litres, not gallons. Remo print their schedule in millilitres per US gallon. Every figure on this chart has been converted to millilitres per 10 litres so it matches the markings on your can. The arithmetic is written on the chart itself.
  • Micro runs the whole way through. It goes in from Grow 1 right through to Flower 8, at the same rate as the Grow or Bloom sitting beside it.
  • Grow stops at the flip and Bloom takes over. Do not run the two together. Grow finishes at the end of Grow 4, and Bloom starts at Flower 1.
  • Nothing is grouped any more — every week has its own column. Where Remo hold the dose steady the same figure simply repeats: it is flat from Grow 4 through to Flower 4, and flat again from Flower 5 through to Flower 8. Remo carry those last figures on to an eighth grow week and an eleventh flower week at the same strength, so a longer run just continues them.
  • AstroFlower starts at Flower 3. Remo print no figure for Flower 1 or Flower 2, so it stays out of the tank until then, and runs at 26.4ml to the end.
  • Magnifical stops after Flower 5. It runs from Grow 1 through to Flower 5, then comes out and does not return.
  • The last column is plain water. No base feed and no boosters — just water for the last stretch of flowering.
  • Bigger plants can take more. Remo state that larger plants will handle up to 10 ml per US gallon, which is the 26.4 ml per 10 litres at the top of the chart.

Common questions

What does 21.1ml mean in my watering can?

It is per 10 litres. A full 10-litre can takes 21.1 ml of that bottle, and a 5-litre can takes half of it, so about 10.5 ml.

Why are the figures not round numbers?

Remo publish their schedule in millilitres per US gallon, and a US gallon is 3.785 litres. Their round numbers stop being round once they are converted to 10 litres. Rounding them off would change the strength of the feed, so the exact converted figures are printed instead.

Do I run Grow and Bloom at the same time?

No. Grow finishes at the end of Grow 4 and Bloom starts at Flower 1. Micro is the one that stays in the tank the whole way through, next to whichever of the two you are on.

When does AstroFlower go in?

At Flower 3. Remo do not print a figure for Flower 1 or Flower 2, so it stays out until then and runs at 26.4ml per 10 litres to the end.

What goes in the tank in the final week?

Plain water. Every product on the chart comes out for the final week.
