VitaLink Coir Feed Chart – Coir MAX A&B Doses
VitaLink's own published Coir MAX BASIC schedule for coco coir. Week by week, in millilitres per litre of water.

Every figure is millilitres per litre of water, so multiply by the size of your can: 4ml per litre is 40ml in a 10-litre can. Each figure in the two base columns applies to that part on its own — Part A and Part B always go in at the same rate.
Getting it right
- Equal amounts of A and B, added one at a time. Part A into the water, stir, then the same amount of Part B, stir again. Never pour the two concentrates into each other.
- Check your tap water before you buy the base. Coir MAX comes in a soft water and a hard water version, and VitaLink ask you to pick by the EC of your tap water. Test it with a meter: low EC means soft.
- The EC figures on the chart assume clean water. They are quoted from a background of zero, so whatever your tap water already reads goes on top of them.
- Coir is inert, so feed every watering. The fibre holds no nutrition of its own. Unlike soil there is no reserve to fall back on, and skipping a feed shows within days.
- Water to 10 to 20% runoff. Coir grips calcium and magnesium and swaps them for what you feed it, so the excess needs somewhere to go. Test the runoff, not just the tank.
- The base feed climbs for four weeks, then holds at 4ml. 1-2ml at transplant, 2-3ml on small plants, 3-4ml on medium, then 4ml per litre for the rest of the run.
- Turbo and Buddy both start low. Turbo goes in at 0.5ml from Grow 3 and doubles to 1ml at Flower 2; Buddy starts at 0.5ml in Flower 2 and goes to 1ml from Flower 3.
- Flower 7 is Finale on its own. The base feed, Turbo and Buddy all stop, and Finale goes in at 3-4ml per litre. Flower 8 is the finish — plain water, nothing else.

Common questions
The chart says Coir MAX and the bottle says Coco MAX — is it the same feed?
Yes. The two-part coir base we stock is labelled VitaLink Coco MAX A&B and it is the feed this chart is written for. The doses above are the ones VitaLink print.
What does 4ml per litre mean in my watering can?
Multiply by the litres you are mixing. A 10-litre can takes 40ml of Part A and 40ml of Part B; a 5-litre can takes 20ml of each.
Soft water or hard water version?
Pick by the EC of your tap water, measured with a meter before anything goes in. VitaLink build the two versions around how much calcium and magnesium your water already carries, which is why there is no CalMag row on this chart.
What happens in the last two weeks?
Flower 7 drops everything else and runs Finale at 3-4ml per litre. Flower 8 is the finish: plain water, no feed and no additives.
