Gold Label Light Mix Feed Chart – Soil A+B Doses

Every figure is millilitres per one litre of water. A 10-litre can takes ten times these numbers, so 1.25ml here is 12.5ml in a 10-litre can.
Getting it right
- This chart belongs to the light soils. Gold Label publish it for Special Mix Light and for Special Mix Custom No Perlite. Their full-strength Special Mix is a richer bag and runs on a different schedule.
- Feeding starts at Grow 1. A light mix carries far less nutrient of its own, so there is little in the bag for a young plant to live off. The base goes in from the first watering at 0.5ml of each part and stays there for a fortnight.
- It is a start, change and stop schedule. Gold Label give a dose on the week it begins and then only say when it changes or stops, so a figure runs on unchanged in between. The grid above is that schedule filled in for every week.
- Flowering begins at Flower 1, the fourth week of the schedule. That is where Gold Label's own printed schedule drops from eighteen hours of light to twelve, so the three weeks before it are the Grow columns here and everything after is Flower. No dose has been moved to do it.
- A and B is one dose, twice. At 1.5ml that is 1.5ml of Soil A and 1.5ml of Soil B into the same litre. Add A, stir it in, then add B.
- Ultra Enzyme runs every other week. Grow 1, Grow 3, then Flower 2, Flower 4 and Flower 6, opening at 0.25ml and then holding at 0.5ml. The blank weeks in between are how Gold Label print it.
- Ultra PK builds in two steps. 0.25ml at Flower 1 and Flower 2, then 0.5ml from Flower 3 through to Flower 7. At a quarter of a millilitre per litre it is worth measuring properly rather than pouring by eye.
- The base eases off early on this chart. 1.5ml is the ceiling at Flower 4 and Flower 5 only, then 1.0ml for Flower 6 and Flower 7 and 0.5ml at Flower 8. Ultra MG stops after Flower 6 and the last column is plain water.

Which bags does this chart cover?
Gold Label Special Mix Light and Special Mix Custom No Perlite. Both are reduced-nutrient soils, which is why the feed starts straight away.
I am using the standard Special Mix — is this the right chart?
No. Gold Label publish a separate schedule for the full-strength Special Mix, and on that one the base feed is left out altogether for the first two weeks because the soil already carries it.
Where does flowering begin?
At Flower 1, which is the fourth week of Gold Label's own schedule. That is the point where they switch from eighteen hours of light to twelve, so the three weeks before it are shown as Grow and everything after as Flower. The doses are unchanged.
How is this different from the Gold Label coco schedule?
The soil chart holds two weeks at 0.5ml before it climbs, eases the base off a week earlier, and runs Ultra Enzyme on the opposite weeks to coco — Grow 1 and Grow 3 here, Grow 2 there. See the Gold Label Coco feed chart for that one.
Is Ultra Roots the same bottle as Gold Label Roots?
Yes. The schedules use the Ultra range names while the bottle on the shelf reads Gold Label Roots. The same applies to Ultra Enzyme and Gold Label Enzyme.
