Gold Label Hydro feed chart – Hydro A and B, Ultra Roots, MG, Enzyme and PK doses per litre by week
  • All dosesper 1 litre
  • Base feed0.5–2.0ml, A and B
  • Schedulestart, change, stop

Every figure is millilitres per one litre of water. A 50-litre tank takes fifty times these numbers, so 2.0ml here is 100ml in a 50-litre tank.

Getting it right

  • This is a start, change and stop schedule. Gold Label give a dose on the week it begins and then only say when it changes or stops, so a figure runs on unchanged until they move it. The grid above is that schedule filled in week by week.
  • Flowering begins at Flower 1, the fourth week of Gold Label's schedule. That is where their own printed schedule drops from eighteen hours of light to twelve, so the three weeks before it are the Grow columns here and everything after is Flower. Every dose is exactly as Gold Label publish it; only the week labels have changed.
  • This is the strongest base in the Gold Label range. Hydro A and B reach 2.0ml per litre at Flower 4 to Flower 6, against 1.5ml on their coco chart and 1.25ml on Special Mix soil. Clay pebbles hold nothing back for the plant, so what is in the tank is the whole feed.
  • Ultra MG stops and then starts again. Gold Label give 0.25ml at Grow 2, nothing at Grow 3, then 0.5ml from Flower 1 through to Flower 7. The gap at Grow 3 is what their schedule says and it is left here exactly as printed.
  • Ultra Enzyme runs every other week. Grow 1, Grow 3, then Flower 2, Flower 4 and Flower 6. On the Gold Label coco chart it falls on the opposite weeks, so do not carry the habit from one schedule to the other.
  • A and B is one dose, twice. At 2.0ml that is 2.0ml of Hydro A and 2.0ml of Hydro B into the same litre. Add A, stir it in, then add B.
  • These are mix strengths, not weekly totals. A Flower 5 tank is made up at 2.0ml per litre of each part every time you mix it, however often the system feeds.
  • The feed comes off before the end. 2.0ml holds through Flower 4 to Flower 6, then falls to 1.0ml at Flower 7 and 0.5ml at Flower 8. The last column is plain water with nothing added.

Common questions

Does this chart cover hydrocorn clay pebbles?

Yes. Gold Label publish one schedule for hydro systems and for hydrocorn pebbles, at the doses shown above.

Why does Ultra MG stop at Grow 3 and come back at Flower 1?

Because that is what Gold Label's schedule says. It starts at 0.25ml at Grow 2, is dropped for Grow 3, then restarts at 0.5ml at Flower 1. The gap has been carried through rather than smoothed over.

Can I just use the coco doses in a hydro system?

No. The two schedules differ: the base tops out at 2.0ml here against 1.5ml in coco, and Ultra Enzyme runs on the opposite weeks. Use the Gold Label Coco feed chart for coco.

Is Ultra Enzyme the same bottle as Gold Label Enzyme?

Yes. Gold Label's schedules use the Ultra range names, while the bottle on the shelf reads Gold Label Enzyme. The same goes for Ultra Roots and Gold Label Roots.

Is 2.0ml a weekly amount or a mix strength?

A mix strength. Every time you make the tank up at Flower 5, it goes in at 2.0ml of each part per litre.
