CX Horticulture Feed Chart – Base A+B and Additives
CX Horticulture's own published Coco and Hydro Base A&B schedule. Stage by stage, in millilitres per litre of water.
- All dosesper litre
- pH5.5 – 6.5
- Base feed1–3ml of A and of B
Every figure is millilitres per litre of water. CX publish this one by stage rather than week by week: one column covers every grow week, Flower 3 to 5 share a column, and so does everything from Flower 7 to the end of flowering.
Getting it right
- Coco Base for coco, Hydro Base for the rest. CX say Hydro Base A&B covers soil, soilless mixes and every other medium. Both run at the same doses, so one chart does for both.
- Equal parts A and B. 1–3ml of each per litre through grow and flower. Add each part to the water on its own and stir between them. Never pour the two concentrates into each other.
- Flower 6 is different on purpose. The base feed comes out and Mighty Bloom Enhancer goes up to 5ml per litre, with nothing else in the tank. Do not chase the pH down that week. CX say a reading above 7 is intended, because phosphorus and potassium are readily available there.
- Then back to the normal rates. From Flower 7 to the end of flowering the base returns at 1–3ml of each part, with Regen-A-Root, Wilt Guard, Mighty Bloom Enhancer and Head Masta at 1ml per litre and Bio Balancer at its usual rate.
- Bio Balancer depends on your system. 0.25ml per litre in a recirculating system, where the tank is reused. 1ml per litre run to waste, where the feed drains away. Every other row is the same in both.
- Mighty Growth Enhancer runs to Flower 2. 1ml per litre through all your grow weeks and the first two weeks of flowering, then it stops.
- Head Masta starts a week before Mighty Bloom. Head Masta comes in at Flower 1 and Mighty Bloom Enhancer at Flower 2. Both then run at 1ml per litre to the end of flowering, apart from Flower 6.
- Regen-A-Root and Wilt Guard run throughout. 1ml per litre each, in every column except Flower 6 and the last one.
- EC and pH. Hold EC at 1.2–1.8 in grow and 1.8–2.4 in flower, and pH between 5.5 and 6.5. CX call these a guideline, not a rule.
- The last column is empty. Every product carries a dash in the final column.

Common questions
Why does the base feed stop at Flower 6?
That is CX's plan for the week: Mighty Bloom Enhancer at 5ml per litre on its own. The pH will usually run above 7, and CX say to leave it there. The full feed returns at Flower 7.
Recirculating or run to waste: which am I?
If the feed drains back into the tank and goes round again, you are recirculating. If it drains away and each watering is fresh, you are run to waste. Only Bio Balancer changes between the two.
How much base feed should I start with?
Anywhere from 1 to 3ml of each part per litre. CX say 1ml of each adds about EC 0.6, and recommend at least 2ml of each, about EC 1.2, for standard growth.
Why are some columns more than one week?
That is how CX publish it. Weeks 3 to 5 of flowering share one set of doses, and everything from Flower 7 to the end shares another, so the chart holds however long your plants flower.
