Getting it right

  • The EC figures already include your tap water at 0.4 mS/cm. Never let the finished solution go above 3.0 mS/cm.
  • Hand feeding and system feeding are different rows. Hand feeding runs 0.2 lower for the first five weeks — use the one that matches how you actually water.
  • To veg for longer, repeat the week 2 dose rather than pushing the numbers up.
  • Power Roots and Sugar Royal are organic in origin, so they are not suitable for NFT, DWC or aeroponics. Plagron's Hydro Roots is the mineral equivalent for those.
  • Silic Rock goes in on its own first. It has a very low pH — dissolve it fully before anything else joins the tank.
  • Every dose is indicative. Plagron say so on the schedule: adjust to the plant in front of you.

Common questions

Hand feeding or system feeding — which EC row?

Hand feeding is watering by hand from a can or hose. System feeding is a pump and drippers on a timer. Plagron run the system row 0.2 higher for the first five weeks.

Can I use Cocos A+B in soil?

No. Plagron publish a separate 100% TERRA schedule with Terra Grow and Terra Bloom, at different rates. Coco and soil hold nutrients differently.

Why does the chart stop at week 10?

Week 11 is harvest on Plagron's schedule — no feed. If your run is longer, repeat the week 2 dose to extend the vegetative period rather than stretching the flowering weeks.

Which additives can I use in DWC?

Not Power Roots, Sugar Royal, Pure Zym, Vita Race or Silic Rock — all organic in origin. Plagron's Hydro Roots is the mineral alternative for recirculating systems.
