Pyrethrin and plant-oil spray for spider mite on protected ornamentals

Guard'n'Aid for Spider Mite is a contact insecticide concentrate combining pyrethrins (4.59 g/L) with rapeseed oil (825.3 g/L). It is authorised for ornamental plants grown under protection, under glass or other cover, and is not for use on edible crops. One spray rarely clears spider mite, so the label allows a repeat after 7 to 14 days. MAPP No. 18580.

Spider mite populations build quickly in warm, dry conditions and are often missed until fine webbing and speckled, bronzed leaves spread across the plants. A thorough spray over the leaf undersides, repeated after 7 to 14 days, brings numbers back under control before the next generation takes hold.

How to Use

• Mixing: 15ml of concentrate per litre of water, never more than 20ml per litre. Shake well and use the spray straight away
• Coverage: spray all plant surfaces, especially leaf undersides and growing tips
• Maximum dose: no more than 0.6ml of concentrate per square metre of plants
• Repeat: after 7 to 14 days if needed, up to 8 treatments a year
• For protected ornamental plants only. Always read and follow the label
