Cold-extracted kelp that puts roots and resilience first

Algen Extract is Norwegian sea kelp (Ascophyllum nodosum) concentrated into liquid form and drawn off in cold water, so the biologically active compounds are not denatured by heat. That process preserves the natural hormones, cytokinins, amino acids, polysaccharides and enzymes that make kelp worth using in the first place. It supplies macronutrients including N, P, K, calcium, magnesium and sulphur alongside micronutrients such as manganese, copper, iron and zinc. Used at 1ml per litre in soil and coco, it stimulates fine root hair formation and supports a plant's own defences. Available in 250ml and 1 litre.

Why Roots Stall Before the Canopy Shows It

Everything visible above the medium depends on root surface area you cannot see. When fine root hairs are sparse, uptake of the trace elements slows first, and the symptoms surface weeks later as dull leaf colour or a flowering stage that never quite lifts. Feeding the root zone a biologically active kelp extract keeps that hidden half of the plant expanding, and the canopy follows it.

How to Use

• Dose at 1ml for every litre of made-up solution.
• Where you work to EC, put Algen Extract and your other additives into the water first.
• Bring the solution up to your target EC with base nutrients afterwards.
• Adjust pH last, once everything is in the tank.
• Use through soil and coco grows at every feed or as a regular tonic.
