HUMIBOOSTA is a blend of humic and fulvic acids drawn from natural deposits, with added calcium, magnesium and potassium. Its job is not to add more nutrient but to make what is already in the tank easier for the plant to take up: humic and fulvic molecules chelate mineral ions, holding them in a form that crosses the root membrane readily instead of binding to the medium or dropping out of solution. It also feeds the rhizosphere, supporting the beneficial microbes that do a share of the nutrient cycling in coco and soil.

A Full Reservoir the Plant Cannot Actually Reach

An EC meter tells you what is dissolved in the tank; it does not tell you what the plant can absorb. Mineral ions bind to the medium, react with each other and fall out of solution, so a feed mixed exactly to a chart can still deliver less than it should — and the symptom is poor nutrient uptake and slow growth in a plant whose reservoir looks correct on paper. Humic and fulvic acids close that gap by holding the ions in a chelated form the root can take through the membrane, which is why they earn their place alongside a base feed rather than instead of one.

How to Use

• Vegetative stage: use through the whole period to improve solubility and uptake as the frame is built
• Flowering stage: carry on, for the calcium and magnesium as much as the acids themselves
• Coco and soil: the microbial support matters most here — apply to the root zone with the normal feed
• Hydroponics: add to the reservoir with the base nutrient and re-check EC afterwards
• Alongside other additives: compatible with a normal feeding programme; add it to the mixed feed rather than neat to the roots
• Follow the Hy-Gen feed chart for rate, and build up rather than starting at full strength
