Ionic pH Buffer 4 is a fixed-value solution held precisely at pH 4.00, made for calibrating pH meters, handheld pens, monitors and dosing controllers. Every electronic pH probe drifts over time as the sensing glass ages and picks up mineral deposits, and a probe that's drifted even slightly can push a whole feed schedule off course without ever throwing an obvious warning.
Calibrating against a known, stable reference is the only way to know your meter is telling the truth. Pour a small amount into a clean container, follow your meter's calibration routine, and you have a trustworthy baseline again.
