The LUMii EnviroGro T5 Fixture is a 4ft (122cm) fluorescent grow light from LUMii's EnviroGro range, built for propagation, leafy crops and vegetative growth. It comes as a four-tube fixture running 4 × 54W T5 high-output tubes (216W) or an eight-tube fixture running 8 × 54W (432W) – LUMii rate them at up to 16,400 and 32,800 lumens – both in a 6400K growth spectrum, with a polished reflector behind every tube to throw the light down onto the trays. Fluorescent light runs cool, so the fixture can sit close over seedlings and unrooted cuttings without scorching them or drying out the medium, and it hangs three ways – overhead, vertically or horizontally – to suit a bench, a shelf or a tent.

Leggy Seedlings and Slow-Rooting Cuttings?
Seedlings grown under weak or distant light stretch towards it, putting on long, thin stems that flop as soon as they are potted on, while cuttings sit for days without rooting because they cannot photosynthesise properly. A hot lamp cannot be brought close enough to fix this without cooking the growing tips and drying out the trays. High-output T5 tubes give strong, even intensity from just above the plants with very little heat, so stems stay short and thick, root development gets going sooner and sturdy young plants cope far better with transplant shock when they move on.
How to Use
- Hang it from the hanging wires on adjustable rope ratchets – level over a bench, or on its side for vertical or side lighting.
- Set the height: start around 20–30 cm above seedlings and cuttings and lower it gradually; raise it again if leaf tips pale or curl.
- Run it on a timer – 16–18 hours a day is the usual schedule for propagation and vegetative growth.
- Plug in at the fixture with the IEC lead, then into a socket or timer – never where water can reach the plug or inlet.
- Replace tubes as a set when output drops – fluorescent tubes dim gradually long before they fail.
- Keep the reflectors clean – dust on the reflectors costs light that no height adjustment recovers.

Can the EnviroGro T5 be hung vertically?
Yes. LUMii designed the EnviroGro T5 to hang three ways – overhead, vertically or horizontally – so it can light a bench from above or stand on edge to side-light taller plants or a rack of shelves.
Does it need a separate ballast?
No. The fixture plugs straight into a mains socket or timer through its detachable IEC lead with a UK plug, so there is nothing else to buy to run it.
What replacement tubes does it take?
4ft 54W T5 high-output tubes – the size it is supplied with. The supplied tubes are LUMii 6400K growth tubes; replace them as a set so the light stays even across the fixture.
Can I use it for flowering plants?
The supplied 6400K tubes are a growth spectrum, best for seedlings, cuttings, leafy greens and vegetative growth. For flowering and fruiting crops most growers move up to a more powerful CMH or LED light and keep the T5 for propagation.
