The Nutriculture Gro-Tank GT090 is a complete Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) hydroponic system built on a square 90 x 90cm footprint, sized to sit neatly in a 1m x 1m grow tent. A pump in the 70-litre tank lifts nutrient solution onto the top tray, where it runs as a shallow film across the spreader mat and over bare roots before draining back to the tank for the next pass. Roots get water, feed and oxygen at the same time, so there is no over-watering, no dry-out between feeds and no build-up of salts in the root zone - the usual causes of slow growth and weak root development in pots. The only growing medium is the rockwool block each plant was started in, which keeps the system clean and leaves almost nothing to throw away at the end of a crop. It grows two to five plants, from leafy greens and herbs to tomatoes, peppers and other fruiting crops.

How to Use
- Sit the tray on the tank, fit the pump and delivery tube, and lay the spreader mat along the tray.
- Fill the tank with fresh water, add your hydroponic nutrients, then set EC and a pH of 5.8 to 6.5.
- Start plants in rockwool cubes or blocks and move them in only once white roots show through the outside of the block. Remove any plastic wrap first, or the pot if a plant was started in coco or soil.
- Space plants at roughly one per square foot (about 30 x 30cm), then fit the Correx top plate around them.
- Run the pump continuously, with the flow set so the solution moves across the mat without flooding the roots.
- Top up with plain water as the level drops, wait an hour and bring EC back to target; check pH weekly and empty the tank for a full solution change at least once a month.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a timer for the pump?
No. An NFT system runs its pump 24 hours a day so the film over the roots never stops; switching it off lets the bare roots dry out.
When can plants go into the GT090?
Once they are well rooted: white roots should be visible on the outside of the rockwool cube or block. Plants moved in earlier have little to draw from the film and can stall.
How many plants should I grow in it?
Between two and five. A good rule of thumb is one plant per square foot, increased for compact crops such as lettuce and herbs or reduced for large, long-season plants.
Will it fit my tent?
The GT090 measures 90 x 90cm and stands 30cm tall, so it fits a 1m x 1m tent and leaves the rest of the height for the plants and the light.
