PhonicTrap Ducting is acoustic ducting engineered to silence ventilation noise while letting air move freely, and this 10 metre length is built for the longest runs - lofts, sheds and rooms where the extractor sits well away from the growing space. A perforated inner layer lets air pass into a non-allergenic polyester wadding that absorbs sound, wrapped in a foil and steel-spiral outer that adds structural strength and a vapour barrier against mould and bacteria.

Why is the extractor the loudest thing in the room?

Standard flexi ducting does almost nothing to dampen the drone of an inline fan, which is usually the noisiest part of a grow room and the one most likely to carry through a house or flat. PhonicTrap insulates that airflow noise inside the duct wall itself, rather than leaning on foam boxes or fan-speed controllers alone.

How to Use

• Fit between the extractor fan and carbon filter, or between fan and exterior vent
• Secure every joint with duct clamps for an airtight seal
• Keep runs as straight as possible and avoid tight bends, which cut both noise reduction and airflow
• Match the diameter to your existing fan and filter connections
