It is built around a perforated inner layer, a sound-absorbing polyester wadding middle, and a foil and steel-spiral outer that adds strength and a vapour barrier.

Cutting extractor noise without losing airflow

Standard flexible ducting does very little to dampen the drone of an inline fan, often the loudest part of a setup and the one most likely to travel through a house or flat. PhonicTrap tackles it directly, insulating the airflow noise inside the duct wall rather than relying on foam boxes or speed controllers alone.
