Heat and Uneven Light Holding Plants Back?
Single-point lamps put their heat into one spot and leave the edges of a tent short of light, so growth is patchy and temperature and humidity are harder to hold steady. Spreading the diodes along eight slim bars lets heat dissipate across the whole frame and evens out the light over the canopy, so plants in the corners keep pace with those in the middle. Being able to step the output down to 40% also means young plants and cuttings can sit under the same fixture without being pushed too hard, then run at full power once the canopy has filled out.
How to Use
- Assemble and hang: fit the bars to the frame and hang the fixture level over the canopy on adjustable hangers, so the height can follow the plants as they grow
- Start gently: run seedlings and fresh cuttings at 40–60% or with the light raised, then increase output as plants establish
- Watch the leaves: bleaching or upward-curling tops mean the light is too close or too strong – raise it or turn it down a step
- Power: the driver accepts 100–277V AC, 50/60Hz; switch it on a timer or contactor to set your light cycle
- External control: turn the dial to EXT and connect a lighting controller through the RJ ports to dim and schedule from one place
- Extend the spectrum: slim UV or far-red bars can be clipped to the frame alongside the main bars
