A Gentle Starter Feed for Roots and Young Plants

Shogun Start is a delicate nutrient formulated to establish strong early root and plant development. It combines balanced micro and macro nutrients with the SmartZen maximiser ingredient, delivering full-strength trace elements at a deliberately low overall NPK so seedlings and freshly struck cuttings get what they need without being overwhelmed.

Worried about transplant shock and slow-striking cuttings?

Young plants and new cuttings are highly sensitive to nutrient strength - feed too hard too early and you stall root development and raise the risk of transplant shock. Shogun Start keeps the NPK low while supplying optimal micronutrients, encouraging auxins to move from leaf tip to rooting point for faster, stronger establishment.

How to Use

  • Root feed (all young plants and cuttings): add 4ml per litre to your reservoir or watering can
  • Fill with plain water and let it reach room temperature first (ideally leave tap water overnight so chlorine dissipates)
  • Lower pH to just below 7 before adding nutrients and additives
  • Recheck and set pH 5.5-6.5 with EC no higher than 1.4
  • Repeat at every tank change or refill; use only through the earliest stages of the plant's life, then move onto a full grow feed
