Hardwire Eight High-Current Devices to Your TrolMaster Controller
The TrolMaster OM-8 Dry Contact Board gives a TrolMaster main controller 8 individual dry-contact relay outputs, each rated to 12A (at 250V AC or 30V DC). Built for the Hydro-X Pro (HCS-2) and Aqua-X Pro (NFS-2), it lets the controller switch contactors, pumps, solenoids and other hardwired equipment from inside an electrical control cabinet. An LCD display shows each output's status, every output has overload protection, and any contact can be forced open or closed for 30 minutes for testing. It connects to the controller's device port with the 16ft RJ12 cable supplied and runs on a 100–240V AC supply.

Why Use Dry Contacts?
Plug-in device stations suit single appliances, but larger grow rooms run contactor panels, big pumps and HVAC interlocks that need a clean switched contact rather than a powered socket. A dry contact simply opens or closes a circuit you supply, so the controller can command equipment at whatever voltage the cabinet uses, within the relay rating, while control wiring stays separate from power wiring.
How to Use
- Mount the board inside an electrical control cabinet – installation should be done by a qualified electrician
- Power it from a 100–240V AC supply
- Connect it to the controller's device port with the 16ft RJ12 cable
- Wire each device's control circuit through one output, keeping within 12A per output
- Assign the outputs and schedules in the controller's menus, then test each with the 30-minute manual override

TrolMaster designed it for the Hydro-X Pro (HCS-2) and Aqua-X Pro (NFS-2). Its latest tech sheet also lists the Hydro-X, Aqua-X, Tent-X and Green-X systems and it appears in the Carbon-X CO2 range, so ask us to confirm before using it with another controller.
Does it supply power to my devices?
No. Each output is a dry contact that opens or closes a circuit you provide, up to 12A. Use it to switch a contactor coil, a pump circuit or an equipment control input.
Can I plug it straight into a socket on the wall?
It needs a 100–240V AC supply but is rated IP20 and is designed to be mounted and wired inside an electrical control cabinet.
