BioTabs Silicium Flash is a solid organic fertiliser with a quick-acting dose of silicon for potting soil and coco. Most of its silicon, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is available to the plant immediately, giving lush, green growth from the start, and the remainder is released slowly over around two months. It only needs adding when you prepare the growing medium or to correct a deficiency, and in BioTabs' Just Add Water method, mixed into the final pot alongside Startrex and BioTabs tablets, it takes the place of liquid growth and flowering nutrients.

Weak Stems, Wilting and Heat Stress
Fast-growing plants under strong light can outgrow their own structure: thin stems bend under heavy flowers and fruit, and leaves droop or scorch in a heatwave or after a missed watering. Plants take up silicon and lay it down in their cell walls, where it stiffens tissue and helps them cope with heat, drought and attack from pests and fungal disease. Silicium Flash supplies that silicon in a form plants absorb quickly, alongside the main nutrients, so the benefit starts from the first watering.
How to Use
- Preparing the medium: mix 75 g per 10 L of organic potting soil or coco evenly through it before planting.
- Correcting a deficiency: make a small hole near the stem, sprinkle in 25 g, cover with soil and water with 1 g of BioTabs Bactrex per litre.
- Mother plants: mix 100 g (about 160 ml) per plant into the medium and repeat every two months, as a top dressing or in a few holes around the stem.
- Soil and coco only — it is a solid fertiliser and is not for nutrient reservoirs or hydroponic systems.

Can I use Silicium Flash in hydroponics?
No. It is a solid fertiliser mixed into soil or coco; for a nutrient reservoir, use a liquid silicon additive instead.
Do I still need liquid nutrients?
Not as a base feed. In BioTabs' Just Add Water method, Silicium Flash and Startrex are mixed into the final pot and BioTabs tablets go in at planting; after that plants get plain water, with Bactrex and the Bio PK 5-8 booster added on set weeks of flowering.
How long does one application last?
The quick-acting part is available straight away and the rest is released over about two months; for long-lived mother plants BioTabs advise repeating every two months.
