Canna Silica is a liquid silicon supplement – a fluid potassium silicate fertiliser carrying 5% SiO₂ – formulated with nanotechnology so it delivers two highly bioavailable forms of silicon: one taken up straight away and one that keeps feeding through. Once absorbed, the silicon is laid down in cell walls and outer tissues, giving firmer stems and leaves and better resilience to heat, drought, wind and high humidity. It runs alongside any Canna base nutrient in soil, coco or hydro, from early growth right through flowering.

Soft growth that buckles under heat, humidity and heavy flowers
Plants grown fast indoors often put on soft tissue: stems bend under the weight of flowers and fruit, leaves droop in a heat spike and growth stalls whenever humidity or airflow moves out of range. Silicon is the element modern feeds usually leave out. Supplied steadily from early growth, Canna Silica is built into new tissue as it forms, so plants hold themselves upright, keep their leaves working and recover faster from environmental stress, which keeps nutrient uptake and growth on track.
How to Use
- All media, every feed: 1–2 ml per litre of water (10–20 ml per 10 litres) from early growth through flowering.
- Mixing order: fill the tank, shake well before use, then add Silica first and adjust the pH to about 6.5–7.0; then add your Canna base nutrients and additives.
- Final pH: check and correct to 5.2–6.2 once everything is in. Silica adds potassium and lifts EC slightly, so measure after mixing.
- With boosters: compatible with Canna additives and cal-mag products in the right order, but not with PK additives such as PK 13/14 – leave it out during that application.
- Handling: corrosive concentrate – wear gloves and eye protection, and store closed in a cool, dark, frost-free place (10–35 °C).

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Canna Silica with PK 13/14?
No. Canna advises against combining Silica with PK additives such as PK 13/14, so leave it out of the tank during the PK application and carry on with it afterwards.
Why does it go into the water first?
Canna Silica has a naturally high pH. Mixing it into plain water first and bringing the pH to about 6.5–7.0 before any base nutrient goes in keeps the solution stable; you then add your feeds and correct the final pH as normal.
Is it worth using in soil or organic grows?
Yes. Even rich soils hold much of their silicon in forms plants cannot take up, so a readily available source gives steady structural support whatever the growing medium.
Is it a pest or mildew treatment?
No. Canna Silica is not a pesticide. It strengthens plant tissue so plants cope better with heat, humidity and other stress, but it does not treat pests or disease.
