Description

Get more out of every feed with fulvic acid

Essentials PLUS Fulvic is a fulvic acid plant growth supplement – the same additive previously sold as VitaLink Fulvic – made from fulvic acids derived from the organic matter in soil. Used from the first feed to the last, it improves nutrient uptake and transport, so the base feed and additives already in your tank work harder. In the nutrient solution it acts as a natural chelating agent that keeps nutrients available, and as a foliar spray it raises oxygen uptake and the rate of photosynthesis. It works in coco, soil and hydroponic systems alongside any base nutrient.

Key Benefits

  • Better nutrient uptake and transport – helps roots and leaves take in nutrients and move them where they are needed.
  • Natural chelation – reduces precipitation in the tank and keeps nutrients available to the plant.
  • Fuels rooting, growth and flowering – used through every stage of the cycle.
  • Two ways to apply – 2 ml/L in the feed, or 10 ml/L as a weekly foliar spray.
  • Works with your existing feed – maximises the effect of the nutrients and additives you already use.

When the Nutrients Are in the Tank but Not in the Plant

A full-strength feed does not guarantee a well-fed plant. Minerals can bind together and drop out of solution, and slow or stressed roots take up less than they are offered, so growers see pale new growth and sluggish development even when the EC reads correctly. Fulvic acid tackles poor nutrient uptake at the source, keeping minerals soluble and helping carry them across root and leaf membranes – supporting root development and steady growth without adding more feed.

How to Use

  • In the feed (root zone): 2 ml per litre of nutrient solution, alongside your main nutrient, from start to finish.
  • Foliar spray: 10 ml per litre of water, applied as a weekly treatment.
  • pH: Fulvic is acidic, so check the pH after adding it and adjust the finished solution to 5.8–6.5.
  • Shake well, and never mix it with other products in concentrated form – add each to the water separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Essentials PLUS Fulvic the same as VitaLink Fulvic?

Yes. VitaLink Fulvic has been renamed Essentials PLUS Fulvic, with the same use and the same rates – 2 ml/L in the feed or 10 ml/L as a weekly foliar spray. Some retailers still list it under the VitaLink name.

Will it change the pH of my feed?

It is acidic (pH 3.0–5.0), so expect the reading to fall slightly. Check the pH after adding it and bring the solution to 5.8–6.5.

Can I use it with any nutrient brand?

Yes. It is designed to go in alongside your main nutrient, whatever the brand, and to get more from the nutrients and additives already in the tank.

Should I feed it to the roots or spray it on the leaves?

Either, or both. Add 2 ml/L to every feed for the root zone, and use 10 ml/L as a foliar spray once a week to help the leaves take up oxygen and nutrients.
