Which size do I need?
Match the filter to the extractor and the tent. Secret Jardin pair the 100 and 150m³/h filters with the DF16E150 extractor and the 250 and 350m³/h filters with the DF16E350; the 100m³/h suits a Dark Propagator DP90 or a Grow Station, and the 350m³/h a tent around 120 x 120cm.
Will it fit an ordinary inline fan?
The DF16 filters are designed to clip onto Secret Jardin's DF16 extractor or ducting flange rather than a standard spigot fan. DF16 connectors in 100, 125 and 150mm let the DF16 extractor and filter run on regular ducting.
Why does the filter size matter?
A filter too small for the fan lets odour through before the carbon can catch it; one too large for the fan restricts airflow. Keeping filter and extractor within the same DF16 pairing keeps both working as designed.
