Description

Concentrated Phosphorus and Potassium for Prolific Flowering

The Source Alluvium PK Stimulator is the flowering and fruiting booster in The Source range: a very concentrated formulation with a balanced NPK of 0-18-20. Its high-purity phosphorus helps plants draw and store more energy from light, encouraging abundant, widespread formation of flower and fruit sites, and the maker says it brings flowering forward so crops have longer to develop. The potassium drives sugar and starch production and regulates water and nutrient transport, so fruit and flowers keep filling out with good flavour and colour. Alluvium contains no artificial plant growth regulators and is dosed from just 0.1 ml per litre in soil and 0.2 ml per litre in coco and hydro.

Key Benefits

  • NPK 0-18-20 — high-purity phosphorus and potassium aimed at the flowering and fruiting stage.
  • Prolific flowering — supports abundant, widespread flower and fruit site formation.
  • Fuller fruit and better flavour — potassium manages sugar and starch production as fruit and flowers develop.
  • Extremely concentrated — from 0.1 ml per litre in soil.
  • No artificial PGRs — part of The Source's plant-extract range.
  • Soil, coco and hydro — on hard or soft water.

Why Do Plants Stall Mid-Flowering?

Once flowering is under way, a plant's demand for phosphorus and potassium climbs faster than a balanced base feed supplies. The signs are fewer flower and fruit sites, slow development in the middle weeks and fruit short on flavour. Alluvium tops up P and K as that demand rises, starting low in early flowering and stepping up as plants bulk up, so nutrient uptake keeps pace with the crop rather than falling behind it.

How to Use

  • Flowering and fruiting only — Alluvium is not used during growth.
  • Mixing order: add The Source Gro or Flo A and B first and set your EC, then add the stimulators. The maker expects EC to climb by about 0.4 to 0.7 once they go in, which is normal.
  • Soil: 0.1–0.4 ml per litre (label). AutoPot soil chart: 0.1 ml for the first three weeks of flowering, then 0.4 ml.
  • Coco and hydro: 0.2–0.4 ml per litre (label). AutoPot coco and hydro chart: 0.2 ml for weeks one to four, then 0.4 ml.
  • Hand watering, drip, NFT and flood and drain: 0.2 ml for weeks one and two, 0.25 ml for weeks three and four, then 0.5 ml per litre from week five.
  • Greenhouse crops such as tomatoes and chillies: 0.2 ml per litre from the start of flowering through the season.
  • pH: set the reservoir to about pH 5.8 for soil and compost and about pH 5.6 for coco or rockwool, as The Source recommends.

Note — The Source's label (soil 0.1–0.4 ml, coco and hydro 0.2–0.4 ml per litre) and feed charts. Add equal amounts of The Source Gro or Flo A and B to the water first and set your EC, then add the stimulators; the maker expects EC to rise by roughly 0.4 to 0.7 once they are in. Set EC first, then adjust pH.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do I start using Alluvium?

At the start of flowering or fruiting, at the low rate, raising it as plants bulk up. It is not used during the growth stage.

Can I use Alluvium with another brand's base nutrient?

The Source recommends running it as part of its own programme with Flo A and B, and advises against adding other products that may unbalance the feed.

Is it suitable for drip and AutoPot systems?

Yes. It was formulated to optimise AutoPot Watering Systems and the maker publishes charts for drip irrigation, NFT, flood and drain and hand watering too.
